Chongqing located in the southwestern part of inland China and the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It is the only mid-west municipality which reports directly to the Central Government, an important central city of the country, the economic center of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, a key modern manufacturing base in China, and a comprehensive transportation hub of the southern region, an important strategic pillar for the Large-scale Western Development. Chongqing Police College(CQPC) is the only full-time undergraduate police college, under the leadership of Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau and Chongqing Municipal Educational Committee. It was founded in 1950 and has a history of 68 years. In 2015, CQPC had the right of bachelor's degree conferring and established a postdoctoral scientific research station at municipal level in 2017. The college covers an area of 616 mu with its total construction area of 112,087 square meters. Up to the present, the college enjoys its faculty of about 300 in numbers, among which, 18 teachers with senior academic titles, 55 teachers with deputy-senior academic titles and 50 teachers with doctor's degree. Since its establishment, Chongqing Police College has cultivated tens of thousands of graduates .
Chongqing Police College spares no efforts to enhance its multi-level cooperation with different bureaus, enterprises and schools and carries out a series of multi-form exchanges and cooperation with various police agencies and educational research organizations in different countries and regions such as USA, Canada, Singapore and Hong Kong.
